Delivery & handover logistics.

Coordinate destination access, delivery windows, recipient communication, condition notes and final movement status.

Vehicle prepared for a scheduled delivery handover

Delivery is a controlled final handoff.

A vehicle reaching a destination does not automatically create a completed delivery. The site must be accessible, the recipient must be known, the appointment must be workable and the handover record must be clear. We coordinate those practical conditions around information supplied by the parties.

Logistics coordination is separate from legal ownership transfer. We do not decide title, sale completion, acceptance rights or liability. Those matters belong to the relevant parties and their professional advisers.

Service scope

Scope includes delivery appointment planning, destination access checks, recipient coordination, handover documentation, vehicle condition notes, exception communication and final status confirmation. We can identify missing information before the vehicle is dispatched toward the final site.

Typical workflow

  1. Confirm the destination address, site contact, receiving hours and access conditions.
  2. Agree a delivery window with the recipient and transport party.
  3. Prepare vehicle references and known condition information for handover.
  4. Record delivery updates, exceptions or a changed appointment.
  5. Confirm the final status and retain the supplied handover record.

Delivery-window management

A date without a receiving window can create uncertainty. Clarify whether the destination can accept the vehicle throughout the day, during a defined appointment or only with advance notice. Consider site capacity, security gates, vehicle access, unloading arrangements and recipient availability.

Handover documentation

Useful records may include the vehicle identifier, delivery address, receiving person, date, time, condition notes, photographs supplied by the responsible party and signature or electronic confirmation where used. The required record differs between businesses and countries. Confirm what the transaction requires.

Delivery exceptions

Common exceptions include an inaccessible address, missing recipient, closed site, changed appointment, damage concern, incorrect vehicle reference or missing instruction. The next action should be assigned to the party able to resolve it. A delivery cannot be responsibly marked complete when the receiving condition is unknown.

Missing information

Early checks can expose a missing postcode, unsuitable access route, unclear recipient or absent release record. Provide the missing item, request a decision or hold the relevant stage. Do not infer a critical detail when the cost of an incorrect assumption is a failed delivery.

Advantages and limitations

A defined handover process gives the recipient and transport party a shared closeout point. It does not guarantee site access, eliminate condition disputes or transfer ownership. The final legal and commercial position remains with the relevant parties.

Good fit for

This service suits post-auction deliveries, dealer receiving sites, fleet destinations and cross-border movements requiring a documented final handoff.

What to prepare
